Stephanie Furdek is a Sydney based freelance camera and steadicam operator. After coming up through the camera department as a focus puller, she now operates across a wide range of projects including TV drama, feature films, documentary, commercials, and music videos.

Steph has also been cinematographer on two feature films. Backlash now streaming on Apple TV and Aphelion, currently on its festival run. She brings over 12 years of industry experience to set, having started out at 17 as a production assistant on a feature film and steadily working her way through the ranks of the camera department.

She’s also worked as a camera operator and editor in TV news, and previously as a camera prep technician at Camera Hire; experience that’s given her a strong technical foundation and an efficient on set approach. A long standing passion for documentary and storytelling continues to inform her operating style and love for the craft.
